TIME OF HIGH MUSIC

In April 2013 Dmitri Kogan recorded a charity album titled ‘The Time of High Music’ in the Pillar Hall of the House of the Unions in Moscow. Over 30,000 copies of the album were donated to music schools, children’s art schools, colleges and higher education institutions in all 83 subjects of the Russian Federation.

THE TIME OF HIGH MUSIC, the violinist’s charity tour across the 83 subjects of the Russian Federation, began on July 15, 2013 in Tver. The framework of the tour provides both for concerts and workshops. The campaign aims to facilitate artistic education among the youth and promote masterpieces of classical music.

KOGAN FUND FOR SUPPORT OF OUTSTANDING CULTURAL PROJECTS

The Kogan Fund for Support of Outstanding Cultural Projects was created in April 2011 thanks to the efforts of Dmitri Kogan and patron of arts and Chair of the AVS Group Holding Company Valery Savelyev. The public stage of the first project promoted by the Fund was represented by Dmitri Kogan’s concert in the Pillar Hall of the House of the Unions that took place on May 26, 2011.

MUSICAL INSTRUMENTS FOR CHILDREN

A charity concert by Honored Artist of the Russian Federation Dmitri Kogan took place at the Grand Hall of the Moscow State Conservatory on December 21st, 2013. The renowned violinist performed together with chamber and symphonic orchestras as well as students of music schools from various regions of Russia as part of the framework of the all-Russia Time of High Music charity project. He personally presented young talented musicians with instruments made by the best European artisans. Dmitri Kogan has been engaged into charity activities for many years. He was the first violinist to give charity concerts in Beslan and in Nevelsk that was at the time severely damaged by an earthquake. Charitable actions organized by Dmitri Kogan always turn into significant events of great cultural and social importance.

Urals College of Music

Urals College of Music, opened in 1943 is a unique college for talented children, one of only 8 in Russia overall.

Dmitri Kogan became the Chairman of the Patrons Committee in 2010, when the Committee has been created.

Speciality of the academic programme is the possibility to combine secondary education programme (preparatory and main) with the professional musical education programme, which starts from the first year of education. The teachers have developed exclusive academic programmes and extensive experience, which in its turn allow to teach musically talented children from the age of 5, creating special environment for developing very early professional educational field.

Graduates of the college regularly become the winners of various prestigious competitions across Russian federation and Europe.
